Nofollow: Twitter Now Distrusts Everything You Say | SEOptimise

[SEOptimise » Blog] The USP is the delete button that we can hit if twitter start trying to sell our content back to us unless it benefits our clients which is what its all about, they can get the benefit of a listing other ways. That said, we suspect Twitter will be forced to go back to its old ways or atrophy and die with the likes of Google Buzz et al and the wedding of Microsoft and Yahoo, our view, don’t dismiss it out of hand, we’ve seen over the decade and more that many major events have a habit of going back on themselves.

TOPSITES Referrer Spam getting up my nerves | Share Commons

[Webmasters] There may be many who already know what I’m talking about, but for those who are still in the blues, when I say referrer spam, it means that when I check my web traffic, I see the referring URL of the website from where a visitor landed on my site. Lately, I have noticed an increasing trend of referring URLs that have nothing to do with my website.

TechCrunch has 15000 Spam Comments Per Day

[TechCrunch] Interesting to see, that numbers make my 20+ daily spamcomments vanish. I wonder if TechCrunch is also using some sort of plugin such as Bad Behavior that will actually disallow malicious visitors (or actually robots) from even loading the pages of your website.
