(can’t) insert uploaded images in WP 2.5+
[capacity] file provides additional configuration instruction to the Apache server, specific for the files accessed in the same directory where it is located - in this case it should be the root directory of your WP installation, if you have no .htaccess file you can just create one and call it this way, with the dot in front of the name: it means the file will be hidden using http, but you still can see it trough ftp - when downloading this file, if your are on a Mac OS X, the file will not be listed in the directory, but it still is there, it is just hidden.

Comment on Akismet False Positives & Spam Karma Configuration by ...
[Comments for Andy Beard - Niche Marketing] Well, I started with Spam Karma and was happy with until one bad day came - my hosting provider closed my account because it was using too much of CPU resources, mostly because of DB queries generated by spambots and Spam Karma fighting them. Changing the hosting company isn't an easy task, especially when you want to get you site running again - I had to get rid of Spam Karma and switch to Akismet.

[The Gear Page] addresses to. Free vacations. Mortgage information. free rolexes. mmmm. Not sure about the legality of it :( and it probly doesn't work. but it does make me feel better. :D anyone else have a good way to kick the spammer blues?

Did You Pass Math? A Simple WordPress Comment Anti-spam Plugin
[Crenk] Since installing the Did you pass math plug-in, my comment spam has been near completely eliminated. As an added bonus, there was zero negative feedback and no backlash from the my readers after installing. Some even thanked me for not using a true Captcha system, since they can often be very hard to read. My suggestion would be to install this when first setting up a blog, so you aren’t in a situation like me, trying to fix a broken problem while it is being broken even harder.
