Comment Spam
[A Peculiar Blog] I've been noticing an increase in the amount of comment spam in recent weeks. Usually the Akismet and Bad behavior plugins do most of the work of keeping the crap out of the comments but there's been a higher than normal level of sewage .

Inside The Malicious World of Blog Comment Spam
[Offensive Computing - Community Malicious code research and analysis] Abstract - This paper describes the code, behavior and infrastructure of a blog comment spam attack. The particular blog spam attack explained here uses HTTP/javascript obfuscation and redirection to pass the victims browser through several websites, ultimately infecting the victims host using a handful of exploits.

Plug-in to block spammer
[Blog Tutorial] Then, login to your wordpress admin account and click plug-in , activate the spam karma. After you have activate the plug-in go to setting and setting your spam karma.

search.live.com Referral Spam
[Rob Ferrer's Thoughts and Writings] explanation (including instructions on how to block it), which partially explains them, but the Microsoft response is clearly rubbish. As far as I’m concerned, this is just referrer spam, and another reason not to use Live Search!

Live Search Referral Spam
[Carlo Mendoza] This blog gets decent traffic from Google and Yahoo!, and a little bit from Live, but Live is just an oddball. I thought I was getting traffic from people actually using the search engine, but my instinct said otherwise.
