Censorial Nerd Jury: Since this past Monday, there has been an uproar from lots of people, bloggers, and gay and lesbian groups, saying that the commercial (and most especially its alternate endings on the website, as well as videos of negative reactions by Bears and Colts players, which you can also find on YouTube if you want, just seach for "Snickers ad") uses homophobia as a source of humor and promotes violence against gays and lesbians. I agree with these viewpoints, but I can also realize that the commercial and the reactions of the men (who are assumed to be straight and were made out to be social Neanderthals) were just meant to be ridiculous.
