Targeting Spam > Bot-Check Wordpress plugin vs. Comment Spam

[ Atty-at-Work] Wordpress plugins compatible with the K2 theme is discussed in a previous post, but I decided not to include the Bot-Check plugin because this one requires a very minor code-tweaking. It’s not the click-and-go type like the others.

http://codex.wordpress.org [Codex.wordpress.org] Plugins/Spam Tools « WordPress Codex: If a human visitor is accidentally marked as spam by RK, he will still be allowed access your site via a link provided by RK's custom 403 (access denied) page and the falsely-marked referrer can be whitelisted. Referrer Karma is technically a PHP script, so it will work under all configurations, but some assembly is required.

http://www.gudlyf.com [Gudlyf.com] Gudlyf’s World » WordPress Plugin: AuthImage: […] A good friend of mine pointed me in the direction of AuthImage, a neat plug-in for WordPress that makes the person commenting on a blog entry manually enter a code generated as an image. Whilst this should deter automated spamming systems, people can still post junk to your blog - although the volume should hopefully be lower.
