Targeting Spam > I Hate Capthcas - My New Blogging Enemy #1

http://www.connectedinternet.co.uk/blog [Connected Internet] Now that I’ve relented in my crusade against full text RSS feeds, I’ve decided that Captchas are now my biggest pet hate.  CAPTCHA stands for “completely automated public Turing test to tell computers and humans apart” and are the usually unreadable string of text that many sites now ask you to enter before you can leave a comment.

Codinghorror.comhttp://www.codinghorror.com [Codinghorror.com] Coding Horror: Whitelist, Blacklist, Greylist: Having recently switched from bblog (I know, I know) to Wordpress, I have so many new options of spam fighting now. I'm curious if a bot busting idea that other sites use is active in comment spam busting.

Photomatt.nethttp://photomatt.net [Photomatt.net] Photo Matt » Trackback Spam: Although it is not ideally suited to stop it (lots of its filters are not relevant and I do not have the time right now to add new filters that would do an efficient job), it should do an all right job of stopping the bulk of TB spams (we’ll just have to work a bit tighter on the master blacklist). Anyway, it’s version 1.15 for those interested.
