Spam Karma reset « Climate Audit
[Climate Audit] We’ve had a few new posters fail to negotiate the Spam Karma filter, possibly because of using the same domain for e-mail as spammers use. Also, if you see the comment numbers appear to desynchronize from the quoted comment numbers, its much more likely to be because Steve or myself have restored a comment or two from the Spam Karma filter that should not have been there.

Akismet False Positives & Spam Karma Configuration
[Comments for Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems» Andy Beard - Internet Business Systems & Marketing Strategy] Well, I started with Spam Karma and was happy with until one bad day came - my hosting provider closed my account because it was using too much of CPU resources, mostly because of DB queries generated by spambots and Spam Karma fighting them. Changing the hosting company isn't an easy task, especially when you want to get you site running again - I had to get rid of Spam Karma and switch to Akismet.

Blog Spam
[sociallysour.org] I use to use Spam Karma on the blog back in the day, but have stopped using any real spam filter on comments since it was not supported. Wordpress has a pretty decent black list system you can use and I always tend to keep comment posting to only if pre approved.

Spam Karma WordPress plugin review
[WordPress Unveiled] I was skeptical when I first started using Spam Karma, because I’m generally not impressed with spam filters, at least the ones for email. Too often, legitimate emails get flagged as spam, so I have to wade through the spam folder anyway to find the good emails in there.
