Targeting Spam > Plugin Review: WP Greet Box | Weblog Tools Collection

[Weblog Tools Collection] Also, is the placement of the WP Greet Box code on your blog customizable? I’m just wondering because I have a customized theme that doesn’t follow general standards, only because I can’t find anyone to update it for me, and I’m just wondering if there is a bit of code that you can put in your sites theme as to where u want the greeting to be placed at?

[Untitled] WP Greet Box WordPress Plugin | OMNINOGGIN: My hope is that someday many blogs will be disqus powered, and I won’t have to keep returning to the webpage to reply - just reply from my blackberry, or from the dashboard. I also like the fact that anyone can view my profile on disqus and see wherever I have commented (though I am not really taking advantage of that feature much, since few blogs so far are DISQUS powered relative to how many I read)

Also, referrer logs can only tell you so much and can require intensive text processing to present their data in any meaningful way.

[Untitled] bla(h)g. » Blog Archive » rip snail: Spam Karma is being a real stupid poophead with its overzealous blacklisting of even the most innocuous domains and IP addresses, and I’m going through and checking for erroneous flags whenever I have time and whitelisting any friendly IP addresses that have been blacklisted (so hopefully once I do that it’ll never happen to you again from that computer). Not sure why it does that, though.

[Untitled] How Much Should a Web Design Cost? ”” Pearsonified: Think about it, if you’re going to drop $100 bucks a month on a dedicated server (like I do) to host all of your blogs blogs, then its worth dropping $1 - 2.5k on a great design that will really last and really help gain that critical mass of readership — makes perfect economic sense and that’s the most cost effective thing to do..but yeah…many people don’t apply logic to matters such as that and would rather download a played-out theme that million other bloggers are already using…
