FSK Asks – Trackback Spam? | realfreemarket.org
[realfreemarket.org] FSK Asks – Trackback Spam? The growmap plugin really handled my comment spam. It's severely reduced, but not zero. I also have a problem with trackback spam. I'm seriously considering disabling trackbacks completely.

TrackBack Spam Blacklist Blogs Using Blogging Trackback Spam ...
[GROWMAP.COM] Have thought about this a bit more, and realized there is a way to prevent pingbacks from Digi Auto Links if you so desire. I believe this is a far better solution that attempting to maintain any kind of blacklist or whitelist (there’s really no point singling out individual users of a particular program, it will never be an effective solution.) Instead this puts the choice back in the hands of receiving blog owners to screen out automatic pingbacks with a line of code.

[[blabr]] If you take time to read them, you’ll find them very funny sometimes. You can spot comment spam a mile off, usually because the email address is completely weird, the web domain makes no sense even in Polish, and the comments are usually littered with links to sites that don’t exist or sell dodgy copies of laptop batteries. [Tecmark] For all the plugins and verification methods you can employ to try and prevent it, one will slip through. I get a LOT of spam both through comments on various blogs I manage and contribute to and by email.
